Restaurant strip-outs for the next layout
CoreCut assesses ordinary restaurant-interior removal in Mississauga and across the GTA. We define the dining-room and back-of-house fit-out that leaves before the next renovation stage.
A local refresh differs from a new-concept reset. Connected catering equipment and systems remain separate from partitions, fixed interiors and selected finish layers.
Scope and fit
The assessed removal can include specified counters, fixed seating, cabinetry, ordinary partitions, ceiling areas and floor or wall finishes. The owner and equipment providers identify the assets that stay, leave or belong to someone else.
Gas, extraction, suppression, refrigeration, plumbing and electrical systems need their responsible specialists. A request to clear the kitchen does not supply their disconnection, cleaning, balancing or commissioning. Confirm the condition those providers leave before ordinary removal begins.
Where the agreed kitchen design calls for concrete work, identify the openings or slab areas separately. The design and receiving trades determine their locations and dimensions. An interior strip-out neither designs the new kitchen nor guarantees its approval or reopening date.
What's included
- Assessment of the marked dining and kitchen-interior boundaries
- Accepted removal of ordinary fixed fit-out and finish layers
- Retention limits beside landlord and equipment installations
- Agreed collection and load-out of ordinary demolition material
- Handover of the defined areas to the receiving contractors
Scope boundaries
Landlord handover requirements control what stays. Live services, fire systems, structural work, hazardous materials and new fit-out work are not assumed to be part of a strip-out.
Assessment and sequence
- 01
Choose what remains
Compare the incoming concept with the current layout. Resolve equipment ownership and suitability through the owner and responsible providers.
- 02
Connect the packages
Identify specialist service preparation, ordinary interiors and any designed concrete openings separately. Keep all three tied to the same layout revision.
- 03
Review the exposed condition
Confirm the accepted removal endpoint. New installations, substrate work, sealing and finishes remain with their assigned contractors.
Before we start
Provide current/proposed plans, equipment decisions, landlord-retained items and the renovation contact. Have available layer and assembly information ready to discuss.
If the premises are part of a food court or shared building, identify the centre's requirements and shared connections. Do not assume the tenant boundary is the limit of every service.
Frequently asked questions
Must the whole restaurant be gutted?
No blanket scope applies. The reviewed concept may retain useful rooms and fittings, selectively change them or require a wider reset. CoreCut assesses the ordinary removal identified by that decision.
Are appliances and kitchen systems included?
They are not automatically included in ordinary strip-out. The owner and appropriate specialists must define equipment handling and connected-system work. Identify those responsibilities before finalising the building-removal package.
