Scope and fit
Concrete Removal in Mississauga
Concrete removal covers breaking out and hauling away slabs, floors, pads and footings so the ground or base below is ready for new work. We handle it for homes, shops and industrial units in Mississauga and the rest of Peel Region.
What's included
- Defined slab, floor, pad or footing removal
- Protection of adjoining concrete and the loading route
- Rubble haul-away and agreed base clean-up
The written scope confirms the exact limits for your property.
Scope boundaries
New concrete, plumbing work and a finished replacement surface are separate from removal. Unknown embedded services or suspect materials need assessment before disturbance.
Specific scopes within this service
Before we plan the work
Provide the area, intended depth and use after removal. Access, reinforcement, buried services and the route for debris affect how the work is scoped.
A basement floor section and an exterior slab may need very different equipment. The access route and the amount of surrounding concrete that stays are part of the assessment, along with the condition and contents of the slab.
Cutting, breaking and loading are separate stages within the removal plan. Confirm whether you need a cleared trench, exposed base or another handover condition so the next trade knows what to expect.
Assessment to handover
- 01
Site visit
We measure the area, check access and ask about services in or under the slab.
- 02
Edge cutting
The boundary is saw-cut so the concrete that stays is not damaged.
- 03
Breaking
The slab is broken into carryable pieces with dust controlled by water.
- 04
Loading and haul-away
Rubble is loaded out and taken for recycling where available.
- 05
Base clean-up
Loose material is cleared and the area is left ready for the next trade.

Planning questions
Where does broken concrete go in Peel Region?
Clean concrete is usually taken to aggregate recyclers that crush it for reuse as base material. Mixed debris goes to licensed transfer or disposal sites. Peel's Community Recycling Centres take limited amounts of household renovation waste, so larger jobs need a contractor or bin service.
Can you remove part of a basement floor without cracking the rest?
Yes. We saw-cut the edges of the section first so the break stops at the line. That keeps the surrounding floor intact for patching after plumbing or footing work.
What are the construction noise hours in Mississauga?
Construction noise rules depend on the activity and current municipal by-law. Confirm the permitted hours for the site with the City of Mississauga before scheduling. Calls answered 24/7 does not mean noisy work runs around the clock.
Do you need heavy machinery to remove a slab?
Not always. Indoor slabs are often broken and carried out by hand, while larger exterior or industrial slabs may need a skid steer or excavator. The access route decides what we can bring in.
