Scope and fit
Site Clearing in Mississauga
Site clearing is the excavation, grading and clean-up that gets a lot or part of a property ready for new work. We do it for homeowners and builders in Mississauga and nearby Peel Region communities, often after a demolition or before a new driveway, patio or addition.
What's included
- Agreed surface and debris removal
- Excavation and grading within the specified limits
- Sorting and haul-away of scoped material
The written scope confirms the exact limits for your property.
Scope boundaries
Tree removal permissions, contaminated soil, drainage design and new construction are not implied by a clearing request. Final levels and receiving-site requirements need confirmation.
Before we plan the work
Provide the intended finished levels, access and known services. Existing trees, neighbours, drainage and the nature of the material affect the plan.
Clearing can follow demolition or prepare a defined area for a driveway, patio or other work. The receiving contractor should establish the levels and base condition they need.
Unknown fill, existing trees, underground services and drainage can change the plan. These are assessment questions, not reasons to assume that every site can be cleared in the same way.

Planning questions
Do I need utility locates before site clearing?
Yes. Ontario law requires locates before digging, and Ontario One Call arranges them at no cost. Digging without them risks damaging gas, hydro or telecom lines.
Can you prepare a strip for a new driveway or patio?
Yes. We remove the old surface and soil to the depth your installer specifies and compact the base so it is ready for their work.
What happens to the soil you remove?
Clean soil and fill can often be reused or taken to receiving sites, and concrete goes to recyclers where available. Contaminated or mixed material is handled separately.
Will clearing affect drainage on my neighbour's side?
It should not. We grade so water runs away from buildings and does not flow onto neighbouring lots, which is also what the City expects.
