Scope and fit

Deck and Fence Removal in Mississauga

Deck and fence removal means taking apart old decks, fences and pergolas, pulling the posts and hauling everything away. We do it for Mississauga homeowners who want the yard cleared for a rebuild, a new patio or simply more space.

What's included

  • Agreed deck, fence or pergola take-down
  • Posts and footings where included
  • Material haul-away and yard clean-up

The written scope confirms the exact limits for your property.

Scope boundaries

A new deck or fence, house repairs and landscaping are separate work. Property-line consent and decisions about retained footings must be settled before removal.

Before we plan the work

Show attachment points, shared boundaries, gates and access. Confirm underground services before any digging and identify plants or surfaces to protect.

Attached decks need attention at the house connection; shared fences need agreed boundaries and consent. Tell us if any posts, footings or panels are intended for reuse.

The loading route and intended final condition of post holes and the yard belong in the scope. Replacement construction and repairs to retained surfaces are separate responsibilities.

Planning questions

Do I need a permit to remove a deck in Mississauga?

Removing a deck usually does not need a permit. Building a new deck may, depending on its height and size, so check with the City before you plan the replacement.

Will removing the deck damage my house?

It should not, if the ledger is separated carefully. We take the boards and framing off first and then detach the ledger so siding and flashing are not pulled away.

Can you remove a shared fence?

We can, but a fence on the property line often belongs to both neighbours. We recommend talking to your neighbour first and confirming the plan before we start.

Do you remove the concrete post footings?

Yes, unless you want them left for a new build. Footings are dug out and hauled away with the rest of the material.
