Scope and fit

Junk and Debris Removal in Mississauga

Junk and debris removal is the loading and hauling of demolition waste, renovation debris and clean-out material from homes and businesses. We offer it in Mississauga, Peel Region and the western GTA, on its own or as part of a demolition job.

What's included

  • Loading of agreed renovation debris and clean-out material
  • Protection of the route out
  • Haul-away and sweep-up of the cleared area

The written scope confirms the exact limits for your property.

Scope boundaries

Hazardous or restricted waste is not mixed into a normal removal load. Paint, solvents, propane and similar items need a suitable separate disposal route.

Before we plan the work

Describe the material and volume, stairs or lift access and any loading restrictions. Tell us about suspect materials before anything is bagged or moved.

A stand-alone debris collection can follow another contractor's renovation or a household clean-out. Describe what is in the load and where it is stored so we can assess access and disposal.

Recyclable material is separated where practical and accepted. Restricted or suspect waste needs to be identified before collection and assigned an appropriate disposal route.

Planning questions

Can you take renovation debris from another contractor's job?

Yes. We regularly clear drywall, lumber, cabinets and flooring left after renovations, whether or not we did the demolition.

What items can you not take?

Paint, solvents, propane tanks, batteries and some electronics need to go to special drop-off sites. Peel Region's Community Recycling Centres accept many of these from households.

Do I need a permit for a bin on the street in Mississauga?

A bin placed on the road or boulevard generally needs a permit from the City. A bin on your own driveway usually does not.

Is the debris recycled?

Where facilities accept it, yes. Metal, clean wood, cardboard and concrete are separated so they can be recycled rather than landfilled.
