If the only loading position is on a Toronto street or public lane, arrange the public-space permission before booking the bin delivery. A private loading agreement or a parking space does not by itself authorise construction occupation.

Establish whether the footprint crosses the property line

Toronto requires a Street Occupation Permit for temporary construction occupation of the public right of way. The City's examples include disposal bins on roadways or public lanes and other construction equipment or materials beyond the property line.

Show the intended bin and loading position on the site information. Include any proposed chute, staging or equipment movement rather than considering the bin in isolation. If the boundary is unclear, resolve it before treating the space as part of the driveway.

Prepare the footprint and access information

The City's application guidance calls for scaled, dimensioned plans showing the proposal and relevant street features. Identify the sidewalk, property line, existing street furniture and any parking space affected. Ask the applicant or responsible professional to confirm the current plan requirements for the actual occupation.

The City also directs applicants to review RoDARS requirements and relevant Metrolinx coordination zones. Use those current linked resources where applicable. Do not use this guide to select a traffic-control layout or block a pedestrian route without approval.

Make the delivery match the approved arrangement

Give the hauler the approved location, authorised period and project contact. Confirm how the bin is delivered and removed, not merely where it sits. Keep the agreed access arrangement available to the demolition crew and property manager.

If the location or period changes, resolve the permit implications before moving the operation. For space entirely within a managed property, the dock and elevator brief addresses private bookings; it does not replace Toronto's public-space process. No processing-time or availability promise is made here.

Discuss this scope with CoreCut

For debris removal, send the proposed loading arrangement and identify any public-space permission still being arranged.
